SAMANIEGO
Samaniego is a small town among charming vineyards south of the mountainous Sierra Cantabria, in the historical territory of Álava. Located in the Basque Country Autonomous Community, it is approximately 45 km from its Capital City, Vitoria, and it is 10 km from La Guardia, a town internationally known as the Wine Capital.
 
A town full of history, human settlements have been known here since prehistoric ages. It has been continuously occupied since the Middle Ages to date; the Medieval period is when its major relationship with the land and vineyards began.
